The administrators of the former owner Silverbond Enterprises Limited have announced that Metropolitan Gaming Limited has completed its agreement to purchase the exclusive Park Lane Club London property from them.
The British company revealed in a formal press statement on Thursday that the purchase, for an unknown sum, was made through one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries, bringing the total number of British casinos in its portfolio to nine. The operator added that it made the decision to buy the business in London's affluent Mayfair neighbourhood after learning that Silverbond Enterprises Limited had had its gaming licence cancelled in November following a gaming Commission inquiry.
Renovating in progress:
The Metropolitan Gaming Limited revealed that it now plans to rebrand the Park Lane Club London as the Metropolitan Park Lane after a refurbishment programme is complete. Metropolitan Gaming Limited was already in charge of admired British gambling-friendly venues like the Rendezvous Brighton, Manchester235, and London's Empire Casino. The facility would remain fully operational in the interim and "continue to trade and welcome guests," according to the firm.
Business jubilation
The news release was used by Metropolitan Gaming Limited's chief executive officer, Michael Silberling, to announce that his company is also in charge of the Ramses Casino in Egypt and the Emerald Resort and Casino in South Africa. The chairman said that he is "thrilled" to be able to expand his company's "portfolio of casinos in the United Kingdom" to include the two-story Park Lane Club London with its 17,000 square foot casino.

"The Park Lane Club London is a fantastic addition to our collection of prestigious casinos, and we have exciting plans to enhance the company going ahead through investments and development. We are excited to have the Park Lane Club London staff join Metropolitan Gaming Limited and look forward to giving our visitors secure and satisfying experiences there.
a lot of competition
The Park Lane Club London, which is housed within the London Hilton on Park Lane hotel, was purchased by Metropolitan Gaming Limited despite "considerable interest from businesses around the world," according to administrator Bob Maxwell of professional services firm Begbies Traynor. The "iconic" facility, he continued, has "a spectacular gaming floor" in addition to a lounge, a private gaming room, a bar and an outdoor gaming terrace.
A Maxwell statement said:
"This participation in a fascinating industry sector has been engaging and demanding. We are happy that Metropolitan Gaming Limited, who is in a perfect position to develop the casino at Park Lane Club London, has acquired the company.
