The Netherlands' national lottery operator has established a new iGaming domain using Scientific Games Corporation's OpenGaming platform and related OpenBet product suite, according to the American online gambling pioneer.
The company with its headquarters in Las Vegas detailed how the enlarged partnership was announced as the Netherlands inaugurated a fresh regulated online gaming market with 10 licenced operators on last Friday via an official press release issued by European Gaming Media and Events. The creator said that Nederlandse Loterij is now taking use of its innovations as part of a brand-new online casino and sportsbetting service that is targeted towards enthusiasts dispersed over the entire small nation of about 17.6 million people.

To give players with a variety of "in-house developed games and popular releases from a range of third-party providers," Scientific Games Corporation said that the lottery's primary provider is now using the OpenGaming platform to power its new Toto-branded online casino and sportsbook. In addition to providing "managed trading services" and "access to full pre-match, in-play, and risk management services," the company said that Nederlandse Loterij used its modular OpenBet product suite to run a "reliable and scalable betting engine."

Scientific Games Corporation announced that the new Nederlandse Loterij iGaming domain will also use the BetBuilder product from its recently acquired SportCast subsidiary to give players the ability to "build bets across multiple markets on a single game with instant pricing." As if that weren't enough, Scientific Games Corporation also announced that the company will launch a new iGaming platform in the Netherlands. It claimed that in order to "broaden its appeal to a wider audience," all of this will be complemented by "a greater and more detailed range of singles markets" as well as the high-margin Fast Track quick-pick option.

The press release from Scientific Games Corporation's iGaming Commercial Vice-President, Andy Stubley, revealed that Nederlandse Loterij, which regularly generates annual revenues of more than €1.3 billion ($1.5 billion), was founded in 2016 as a result of the merger of its Dutch State Lottery and De Lotto predecessors. He said that the operator is "the largest gambling organisation in the Netherlands" and has previously benefited from a number of his company's goods, such as "advanced sportsbetting technology and instant lottery games."
