The media and communications watchdog of Australia has said that it has intensified its campaign against online gaming businesses that could be trying to serve local gamblers without a licence.
In a formal news statement, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) regulator explained how as part of this effort, it had requested that seven affiliate advertising sites be blocked from access by domestic Internet service providers. The group claimed that this unprecedented move was necessary because unauthorised internet casinos and sportsbooks frequently pose as impartial evaluators of gambling services in order to provide covert links to them.
alleged septuplets:
According to the ACMA, the shady affiliate marketing domains are advertised under the names Australia OK Casinos, Pokies, Aussie Online Pokies, Aussie Casino Hex, Australian Casino Club, True Blue Casinos, and Australian Gambling. However, mainland Australian residents and residents of any of its territories are no longer able to access these domains. Since these services "provide direct links to illegal gambling services" and frequently "receive a commission for providing them with web traffic," the watchdog determined that this action was "a priority."
Maintaining vigilance
The ACMA's Fiona Cameron referred to the action against affiliate sites in the news release as "the next step in disrupting the major illegal operators and minimising harm to Australian consumers." The former Chief Operating Officer of Screen Australia further claimed that since the watchdog's responsibilities were significantly expanded in 2017, 279 illegal iGaming domains had been blocked and that these outlawed businesses frequently allowed enthusiasts to "play slots, roulette, or poker games for money."

These marketing websites may direct you to unlicensed, unregulated gaming businesses without the necessary safeguards. Consumer complaints about unpaid wins and the targeting of problem gamblers by incentives and pressure techniques are common.
Support in addition:
The top 10 websites on its list of restricted gambling domains have had a 95% decrease in web traffic as a result of the ACMA's ongoing enforcement efforts, according to the ACMA, and 144 services have completely left Australia. After that, it concluded by stating that visiting ACMA.gov.au would provide access to a complete list of the iGaming sites it has reviewed as well as "more information about online gambling" and "tips on how to protect yourself from illegal gambling operators."
According to Cameron's remark,
"The ACMA is actively pursuing illegal gambling sites and their affiliates to get them out of Australia," the statement reads.
